SUSAN C. BENNETT - VOICES & VOCALS
SUSAN C. BENNETT HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN MUSIC since the age of four, when she was discovered playing a tune (by ear!) on a toy piano. She subsequently took twelve years of classical piano lessons. During junior high and high school, she branched out into vocals, and participated in musicals such as "Oklahoma" and "Annie Get Your Gun," as well as school and church choruses. At Brown University, she was the leader of the a cappella singing group, The Chattertocks for three years, and had the role of Carrie Pipperidge in "Carousel." Susan was also the lead vocalist with two different bands - Conglomerate, and Laugh and Cry - both affiliated with The Berklee School of Music in Boston, and began singing jingles there.
After graduation and a move to Atlanta, Georgia, she continued to play music in local clubs and hotels, and enjoyed a summer tour with Burt Bacharach, and two years with Roy Orbison as a backup vocalist. Susan sang the national anthem several times at nationally televised NHL games in Atlanta, St. Louis and Philadelphia. She has been greatly involved in commercial work as a vocalist, voice-over talent, and on-camera spokesperson. Susan has worked with all of the major agencies on such accounts as Coca Cola, McDonald's, BellSouth, AT&T, Blue Cross, Hardee's, Goodyear and Club Med. You can hear Susan's voice on many on-hold messages as well, for companies such as Delta, Volvo, Papa John's, Circuit City, The Container Store, Nordstrom and many others. Susan is the voice of Delta Airlines at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, as well as the airport train!
Susan continues to work in music as the singer and keyboardist for The Interactive! Band, who perform for corporate parties, conventions, weddings and more. The musicians are incredibly diverse (click here to Meet the Band), and can provide music to suit any occasion: single piano or guitar; piano/vocal/guitar duos; jazz or Dixieland trios; or great variety dance combos from 4 to 10 pieces.
